Drum roll please. I dedicated the first song to all my readers and supporters of this blog. This was my first year blogging and you guys have all made it an enjoyable experience.

Alicia Myers – I want to thank you

The person who “put me on” this song is actually Black Panther actor Michael B. Jordan. No I don’t know him personally but I watch a series on the Vogue youtube channel where they ask different celebrities 73 questions. In Michael B. Jordan’s interview, he revealed that “I want to thank you” is his favorite song and of course, I had to look that up. I think this might be a religious song but it’s basically about gratitude for having love in your life. This could be romantic love, platonic love, or even self-love. The beat is fire and this song was made when singers actually needed to have great vocals so I hope you enjoy this “oldie but a goodie”.

Maxwell – Ascension

I think a lot of people don’t know about the greatness of Maxwell and his vocals. Besides his song “Pretty wings”, I don’t hear much of his other music being played. This is of course a “baby making” type song so beware of the effects of listening to this song. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Pharrell Williams – Happy

HAPPY. That’s all I need to say. Mic drop.

Jill Scott – Golden

My goal in 2018 is to live my life like it is golden! They say your 20s are your golden years but then they say life doesn’t start until 40 so hey live your golden life no matter your age!

Jill Scott – Hate on me

They say if you don’t have haters, you’re not doing anything with your life. But this song really breaks down how to deal with your haters. Let them hate but live your life. Never let them break you down. “Go ahead and hate on me haters, now or later cause I am gonna do me”! Let’s go 2018! I am wishing you all peace, love, and happiness! 🙂 ❤
