My guitar teacher/neighbor challenged me to try song writing as he plays more of his original songs than covers. The catch in songwriting as he told me is that you don’t sit down and say you’re going to write a song. It just comes to you, when you least expect, so aways have a paper or phone at your ready. Another tip he told me is that songs that open with the words me, you, or I are more likely to become hits as the audience can relate to them. With that said, here’s my first song inspired by love and weddings. 🙂 ❤
opening verse:
You told me I was the one you were looking searching yearning for
but life didn’t turn out that way
I am still waiting on that day
White gown walking down that aisle
Veil, shielded eyes Wide spread smile
chorus:
Kiss the bride
Kiss the bride
It’s gonna be a long ride
middle verse:
Till death do us part
One love, two hearts
Slip on the wedding band
On my left hand
chorus:
Kiss the bride
Kiss the bride
It’s gonna be a long ride
closing verse:
I am yours
And you are mine
Two souls, one love
To love and to hold
In sickness and in health
In heaven and in hell
chorus:
Kiss the bride
Kiss the bride
It’s gonna be a long ride
